Päivi Roihu - Customer Success Manager, Field Sales organisation
What do you do at Oriola?
I work as a Customer Success Manager in our Sales organisation, supporting pharmacies in western Finland with a wide assortment of health and wellbeing products.
Apart from prescription medicines, Oriola offers over-the-counter (OTC) products and a wide assortment of health and wellbeing products to pharmacies, healthcare units, veterinarians, and retail customers in both Finland and Sweden.

Describe your role – what does it mean?
My main goal is to help the pharmacies in my portfolio get the most value from our products and services. As their main point of contact, I do my best to support them with their needs—it’s a partnership between me and my customers.
A typical workday involves face-to-face meetings with my pharmacy customers, where I keep them informed about our wide assortment, upcoming campaigns, and special offers. Together, we tailor and develop campaigns and product placements. I also provide product training and ensure they have all the necessary services in place.
My role involves a lot of travel, and I spend a significant amount of time driving. I use this time to connect with colleagues, as we Customer Success Managers—four of us in Finland—work closely with other teams across Oriola, including marketing, brand managers, and category specialists.
I really enjoy working closely with our pharmacy customers and helping them by providing sustainable, beneficial products, valuable information, and inspiration. Knowing our work makes a difference to people's health makes me proud!
What’s your background – educational and professional?
I’ve always had a broad interest in health and science, and after studying laboratory analysis for a year, I went on to the University of Helsinki to study pharmacy. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I began working in a pharmacy and further expanded my knowledge by taking open university courses in nutritional sciences.
It’s important for me to continuously develop my skills and over more than 10 years in pharmacy work, I deepened my expertise in marketing and customer care through various training programmes.
I joined Oriola over five years ago as a Sales Representative and have since worked as a Key Account Manager before taking on my current role as a Customer Success Manager.
And finally, when you are not working, what do you like to do?
I spend much of my free time with family and friends. Living in the countryside, I’m a true outdoor person who loves observing nature and watching the wildlife around our home
